SciFest 2027 aims to seat a panel distributed across the four competition divisions, assigned based on judge expertise and the distribution of competitor categories.

Is the information correct, and can the competitor demonstrate understanding under questioning?
Are claims supported by credible, properly cited sources?
Does the project tell a clear, logical scientific story start to finish?
Do graphs, diagrams, and supplementary materials serve the science?
Can the competitor explain their work and engage honestly with follow up questions?
Elaborate materials earn no credit on their own, only relevance to the science does.

We're seeking science faculty and STEM professionals to evaluate some of the most motivated student researchers in New Jersey.
Background in science, engineering, mathematics, medicine, or a related STEM field. Experience evaluating student or professional work. Full availability on event day from approximately 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Attend a brief pre-event orientation, evaluate assigned presentations across four judging rounds using the rubric, ask substantive questions, and join the post-judging discussion to help decide awards.
